Individualized Support for People in Rural Economic Districts Inc. (INSPIRED) is a non-profit organization charged with providing assistance to rural communities in Caswell County, for all ages, across educational remediation and enhancement, job skills, transportation and connectivity issues.

OUR MISSION

We bridge existing resources to provide services to Caswell County citizens which improve the employability of the individuals, the quality of life, and the economic health in each rural community we serve.  We strive to be a model which can be adapted to and replicated in other rural areas.

WHAT WE DO

Making a Difference

BRIDGE EDUCATION / LITERACY

  1. School Age Individuals – tutoring, remediation, and access to books.

  2. Adults – Basic reading, math, and science.

  3. Mini-Mobile  Library will bring books to all clients as a part of the mobile classroom.

  4. Technology literacy for all ages through real-world use cases for Office.

  5. Facilitate local knowledge of new agricultural technology and opportunities.

COLLABORATION

  1. Partner to leverage existing community resources, businesses, and community organizations. We have established relationships.

  2. Tap into resources from similar non-profits in other areas of NC and the USA to avoid “reinventing the wheel”.

  3. Partner with businesses to continually understand changing needs and opportunities.

WIFI / CONNECTIVITY

  1. A mobile WiFi/classroom. 

  2. Collaboration with local providers, school system, government, etc. to identify areas with greatest need.

  3. Securing IT devices like laptops, iPads, and tablets for those who do not have one in the home/available.

EMPLOYABILITY

  1. Partner with local employers.

  2. Assess individual needs to start where your skill set ends.

  3. Educate clients on the current needs for local industry.

  4. Provide ongoing support for job searches, interview skills, etc.

  5. Continue to support clients even after successful placement.

  6. Facilitate connections with others in the community as mentors/information sources.
